Berm Carving Technique for Dirt Track Racing at Motofy Fest

Berms are the banked corners that define every dirt track, and learning to carve them correctly separates smooth, fast riders from those who scrub speed and fight for grip. At Motofy Fest, the dirt tracks are built with deep, sculpted berms that reward commitment and punish hesitation. Whether you are racing motocross, dirt bikes, or ATVs on 24, 25 and 26 January 2027 at Motofy Arena, Jagatpura, Jaipur, mastering berm carving will shave seconds off your lap and give you the confidence to attack every corner.

The key to a fast berm is entry speed and body position. As you approach, stay loose on the bars and shift your weight forward slightly to load the front tyre. This gives you the bite you need to commit to the banked wall. Look up and through the berm to where you want to exit, not down at the dirt in front of you. Your vision determines your line, and your bike follows your eyes.

As you enter the berm, lean the bike into the bank and let the tyre climb up the face. The higher you go, the more the berm supports you, but you need enough momentum to hold that line. Too slow and you slide down; too fast without the right angle and you shoot over the top. The sweet spot is a smooth arc where throttle, lean angle and berm height work together. Stand on the outside peg, weight the footpeg hard, and use your inside leg lightly against the tank for balance. Keep your elbows up and your chest low over the bars.

Throttle control is everything. Roll on the gas smoothly as you apex, letting the rear tyre hook up and drive you out. A sudden handful will break traction and send you sideways. A timid roll-off will kill your momentum and cost you the exit. Practice finding that balance between grip and drive, and soon you will be carrying more speed through every berm on the track.

Motofy Fest gives you three days to ride dirt tracks, test your skills in motocross, autocross, 4x4 and ATV racing, and stay for the live concert and DJ night under the floodlights. The vibe is raw, the dust is real, and the competition is fierce. Entries for the Speed Orion Cup are open now. Register at bikerbuddy24.com or call 7849997899. Be in the berm, not on the sideline.
